Product options and customisation
Sizes, flavours, add-ons, custom text and file uploads, with their own prices and stock.
Options let customers choose or personalise a product. Open a product and scroll to Options and customisation, then add a question. There are four types:
- Choose one: for example, size, flavour or colour.
- Choose any: for example, add-ons, or things to leave out.
- Type an answer: for example, a name to engrave or a message on a cake.
- Upload a file: the customer sends their artwork or a reference image.
For Choose one and Choose any, each choice can add to the price (for example, Large +R20) and can have its own stock count.
Shared stock pools
Use a shared pool when the same item is offered in more than one place, for example the same bag of chocolate that can be added to several hampers. Create the pool with its stock count, then link each choice that uses it. Stock is taken from the pool, whichever choice is ordered.
Tip
You can mark a question as required, and add a short note under it to guide the customer.
